Out of Africa has been presented with numerous awards, with features in most of Sydney's Top Food Guides - complimenting style, atmosphere, food and service. The Restaurant and Catering Association NSW has awarded Out of Africa Restaurant as a Finalist in the Awards for Excellence for the past seven years. In the late 1980's Hassan brought with him from Casablanca the first Moroccan Cuisine in NSW when he opened 'The Mosquito Bar' (1986) in Mosman NSW. Hassan didn't stop there, opening 'Casablanca' (1990) in Manly NSW, and now 'Out of Africa' since 1995 - his most successful restaurant.
In December 2008 Executive Chef/ Owner & Author Hassan M'Souli received a plaque from the Moroccan Government - "in recognition and deep appreciation of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Moroccan Cuisine and culture to Australia over 23years".

Our menu is full of unique, exotic & aromatic Moroccan dishes that pay due homage to traditional Moroccan influences. Our wonderful customers would be disappointed if they came to taste their favourite dish and it was not on the menu, and this is the reason why it has not been changed over the last 10 years. The variations in our menu come in the number of dishes that we introduce to our Specials every week
